Frist Gala
Received Student Addy Award 2020
Student Project- BFA Belmont University ‘20
This invitation, reply card, brochure, and menu is theoretically designed for the annual Frist Gala which is among the premier social events in Nashville, TN. The Gala serves as the primary fundraiser for the Frist Art Museum and nets more than $600,000 each year to support the museum's education and community engagement. Each guest would receive an access code granting them access to the 2021 Frist Gala event webpage where they can digitally RSVP, donate, and find all information about the event.
The Gala takes thematic inspiration from the presentation of "Image Building: How Photography Transforms Architecture". Allowing guests to interact with the invitation, the origami inside the envelope brings to life the relationship between photography and architecture. The black and white color theme brings about a sophisticated feel for the formal event.
The paper choices were closely considered creating a tactile experience and further playing into the idea of the relationship between photography and architecture.
